Donation Rules
To support the Scott Shoemake for Ventura City Council campaign, all contributors must adhere to the following legal requirements and certify the following statements are true:
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and not those of another.
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident.
- I am not a federal contractor, nor am I a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card.
Political contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Local ordinances impose a limit of $425 per individual for contributions per election cycle. Individual limits apply as per Ventura City election laws.
